Pick whatever you like at Le Metier in Christianshavn — Opened last week, a French brasserie pairs classic cooking with Michelin-trained hands and a cellar deep in Burgundy
Le Metier serves French brasserie indulgence à la carte. Head chef Samuel Aldridge brings experience in three-Michelin-starred kitchens to a restaurant where flavor takes time and hospitality is part of the craft. Tartare is finished tableside, forgotten cocktails return to the bar, and 30 wines by the glass leave plenty of room to explore.
Pâté en croûte wraps venison, foie gras, and black trumpet mushrooms in flaky pastry. Gruyère soufflé comes bathed in Mornay. Peppercorn-crusted venison gets a Bordeaux-style red wine sauce, while monkfish cheeks arrive à la Grenobloise. House-baked bread makes short work of anything left on the plate. Crème caramel and rum baba with plum compote and crème diplomate keep dessert firmly in the French repertoire.
Grand brasserie pleasures. A Christianshavn address.
