Pick whatever you like at Mamak — Belanja’s little sister brings the flavors of Kuala Lumpur to Amager

Before Belanja, there were the streets of Kuala Lumpur. The smoke, the heat, the late-night suppers, and the dishes that inspired KC Chan's first Copenhagen restaurant. Named after the open-air eateries found across Malaysia, Mamak is the chef's tribute to the flavors that came first.

Between the greenery and colorful walls of Gårdhaven Streetfood, one plate quickly becomes three. Mee Goreng tossed in the wok with sambal and fresh lime. Nasi Lemak with fragrant coconut rice, jackfruit rendang, peanuts, pickles, and sambal. Roti John layered with egg, shiitake mushrooms, curry spice, and melted Vesterhavsost. Fried youtiao with sweet soy. Pandan soft serve before heading home.
