4-course menu at Café Dapper — A creative hangout in Amsterdam Oost serves produce-driven plates, natty wine, and a come-as-you-are spirit
Café Dapper is equal parts natty wine bar, intimate bistro, and creative clubhouse. Set beside Dappermarkt, artists and neighbors alike flock to this corner of Amsterdam Oost for a spot in the sun, a glass of something good, and generous plates built with ingredients often sourced just steps away.
Founder Sophie Kroese grew up on a farm in the south of the Netherlands, and her instinct for seasonal produce shapes the menu. Slow-roasted and charred leek. Roasted carrots with nduja, bright herbs, and labneh. Crispy potatoes in tarragon sauce. Fresh pasta with minted peas and lemon breadcrumbs. For dessert, chocolate mousse with hazelnut crumble and a touch of Maldon, or pavlova layered with thyme cream and raspberry compote.
