7-course menu at Levantin — A modern Levantine bistro brings Middle Eastern abundance and sumac margaritas to Værnedamsvej
Levantin runs on smoke, spice, and the abundance of a full table. The bread is warm. The mezze vibrant. Candles burn low while vegetables blister over the charcoal grill. Just outside, Værnedamsvej turns on.
Dinner begins with sesame-crusted house bread. Tear it apart and drag it through hummus with pine nut relish, baba ganoush, and muhammara. Then the table fills: tuna crudo in salted grapefruit brine, whipped feta with seasonal grilled vegetables, cauliflower brushed with miso butter. A main of date-glazed grilled chicken or charred oyster mushroom skewers, before sticky toffee pudding with labneh cream closes things out.
These are the flavors of the Levant in Copenhagen.
