This is where Madklubben’s smørrebrød staples meet the weight of Carlsberg’s brewing legacy. J. C. Jacobsen first brewed beer on this site in 1847. Today, it’s a dining room anchored by towering copper beer tanks and the energy of an open kitchen—all while beer is still brewed beneath your feet.
The smørrebrød classics are all here. Beef tartare with fermented pepper mayo, pickled beets, celery, fennel crudité, and tarragon. Hand-peeled shrimps with baked tomato, mayo, grilled lemon, and piment d’Espelette. Potato finished with pickled lingonberries, roasted onions, Vesterhavsost, and lovage mayo. All designed to pair seamlessly with rotating house drafts found only here, ranging from crisp lagers and hazy IPAs to chocolatey wheat stouts.
