Few are strangers to Benji. The sourdough-fueled bakery from Noma alum Rasmus Sjødahl has earned a loyal following over the past four years for its brown sugar-soaked brunsviger, tangy loaves, and cardamom buns that pack a punch. Today, with a new home in Mjølnerparken, Benji levels up: same knockout flavors and razor-sharp lamination, now served in a modern café built for slow mornings and long coffees.
Decadent coconut-cardamom pastries come crowned with ice cream from sister spot Aurora Ismejeri. Sourdough buns join comté, fennel salami, and soft butter on the plate. Crispy schiacciata arrives layered with mortadella, spicy ’nduja, and ricotta. Benji knows exactly who it is, and its new location—with a full espresso bar pouring Koppi roasts and an open terrace made for long afternoons—is a space worthy of showing it off.
