Chef and cheesemaker Oscar Ferraro moved to Copenhagen in 2009 to join its thriving restaurant scene. But he soon found himself missing the fresh artisan cheeses of his homeland. So in 2014, he put down the pans and founded La Treccia. What began as a personal pursuit to recreate the flavors of home has since grown into a beloved local cheese factory, where Oscar and his team craft cheeses with care, tradition, and the organic milk of Danish Jersey cows. La Treccia has become a trusted name among the city’s best restaurants. But its burrata, mozzarella, ricotta, mascarpone, and stracciatella are available for anyone who wants a taste.
