Set within the cosmopolitan surroundings of Papirøen, Tiger Lily is Head Chef Stephan Erletz’s culinary playground for pan-Asian creations. With over a decade spent in the Michelin scene, he leads his team in crafting a culinary experience informed by fine dining precision and a deep-rooted passion for East Asian cuisines. Here, dishes like Singaporean-style fried chicken, hamachi sashimi in crying tiger sauce, and betel leaf amuse-bouche embody the spirit of Tiger Lily’s ambitious kitchen – thoughtfully and playfully fusion-forward.

WHAT YOU GET

Enjoy a 7-course menu at Tiger Lily. Begin with betel leaves topped with prawn, coconut caramel, and a bouquet of aromatic herbs. Savor hamachi sashimi dressed in zesty crying tiger sauce, finished with shiso, roasted rice, and finger limes. Take a bite of Singaporean-style fried chicken, glazed in buttery sriracha sauce and garnished with pickled chilies and spring onions. Taste a salad of crunchy pointed cabbage, julienned carrots, and crispy sweet potatoes, tossed in peanut-chili dressing and topped with fried lo mein noodles. Eat smoky Thai BBQ-glazed pork belly, followed by tempura cauliflower resting in a bed of yellow curry infused with lemongrass and cumin. Enjoy accompanying sides of seasonal pickles and fragrant jasmine rice. For dessert, indulge in silky coconut tapioca pudding, served with passionfruit sorbet and drizzled with pandan-coconut sauce.

Opened last summer, Tiger Lily’s name evokes the colorful nature of the cuisine that awaits inside the pan-Asian oasis. Located canalside in Papirøen, the restaurant celebrates East Asian cuisine through modern interpretations. At the helm is chef Stephan Erletz, a fine dining veteran formerly behind the plates of two-Michelin-star Chesa Pirani in Switzerland and three-Michelin-star Restaurant Haerlin in Hamburg. His refined touch balances familiar tastes with sophisticated techniques. The result is a dining experience that is refreshingly new yet rooted in tradition.
