Everything about this place feels like a home away from home – except perhaps the former Michelin chef in the kitchen. Opened last summer by Stephanie Andersen and chef Morten Krogholm, Café Gazou is a friendly everyman’s café with a refined French touch. The menu morphs with the seasons and a deep sense of community wafts in the air along with the warm scent of boeuf bourguignon bubbling away on the stove. Locals and longer-distance travelers alike have fallen in love with this little gem, and it’s easy to see why.
WHAT YOU GET
Pick whatever you like at Café Gazou. Find a table in the petite café and take in the cozy atmosphere. Or, grab coffee and pastries or the dish of the week to go. Treat yourself to a morning plate with a sourdough bun, Havarti cheese, yogurt with granola and rhubarb jam, a soft-boiled egg, and apple or orange juice.
