Now with eight locations around the city, the newest spot on Klosterstræde couldn’t be more central. It has everything we know and love about Hooked – impeccable style, casual vibes, and the same great fish and chips that’s been a bestseller from the very beginning.
WHAT YOU GET
Enjoy fish and chips + any drink at Hooked in City Center. Dine in at the restaurant or take your order to go. Taste crispy panko-crusted pollock served with housemade tartar sauce and fresh lime. The fish is marinated in yogurt to keep it super juicy and spiced with a signature blend of curry, cayenne pepper, and smoked paprika. Devour a side of double-fried thick-cut fries seasoned with salt and vinegar, or choose a fresh mixed greens salad with edamame and goma dressing instead. It all started in 2016 in a navy blue food truck where they fried panko-crusted fish and thick-cut fries to perfection. The founding duo behind it, Kasper Bundgård Christensen and Matthew Jeffrey, dreamt of bringing the classic British dish to Denmark and running a restaurant of their own someday. As it turned out, Copenhageners couldn’t get enough, so they opened the first brick-and-mortar location in 2017 – and that was only the beginning. With eight locations and counting, they serve up the best seafood dishes from around the world in old-school fishmonger-inspired settings.
