Pick any two smørrebrød at Lola in Christianshavn – The Michelin-recommended restaurant that reimagines Danish classics with influences from around the world

The statement ‘I’ve never had this before’ is music to their ears, and even the Michelin Guide was mesmerized. Here, they expertly reimagine classic Danish smørrebrød with influences from around the world. Chef-owner Kamilla Seidler spent six years in Bolivia and earned the title of Latin America’s Best Female Chef before returning to Denmark to open Lola in 2019. In 2023, Chef Lisa Gudberg Ballisager became Lola’s smørrebrød mastermind after working alongside Erwin Lauterbach for over a decade at Lumskebugten. Together with a diverse team, this power duo transforms organic Danish ingredients into some of the most innovative smørrebrød in the city.

Pick any two smørrebrød at Lola. The smørrebrød selection rotates regularly and reflects the best produce of the season. Revel in roast beef with tarragon cream, pickled cucumber, horseradish, and chervil. Try beetroot tartare with oyster emulsion, crunchy Japanese gomasio, and fresh herbs. Delight in smoked salmon with soft scrambled eggs, chives, and dill. Choose Indian-inspired butter chicken salad with garam masala, roasted tomatoes, cashew paste, crème fraîche, and mayonnaise, topped with crispy chicken skin and coriander. Get Vadouvan-spiced herring with diced apples, red onion, and cress. Taste roasted kale with smoked tofu cream, crispy capers, lemon zest, and a fried egg. Have creamy cod roe mousse topped with pickled cucumber and fresh herb salad, and more.
