Pick whatever you like at Matcha MORI in Carlsberg Byen, Nordhavn, and Hellerup — Copenhagen’s expanding matcha universe welcomes its third location

Opened last week, Matcha MORI’s Carlsberg Byen café joins Nordhavn and Hellerup locations, extending a matcha universe built around one conviction: matcha should never lose its ceremony. Every drink begins with ceremonial-grade matcha sourced from Uji and whisked to order with a bamboo chasen.

Lattes let the tea’s natural depth and umami lead. Dirty matcha adds an espresso edge, while strawberry, blueberry, and mango variations pull it somewhere brighter. Hōjicha lattes land warm and nutty. Beyond the cup, matcha dusts overnight oats and stars in the house gelato, newly joined by a black sesame counterpart. For lunch, homemade onigiri, curry, and crisp gyoza round out the savory side.

Settle onto the tatami mats and give the ritual the time it deserves.
