Rørt brings smørrebrød into the present with organic ingredients and global inspirations—without losing what made it iconic in the first place. With a brand-new restaurant in Bernikow Gården and a deli counter in Torvehallerne, the city now has two go-to spots for modern smørrebrød made to order.

Each piece starts with toasted bread and builds from there. Organic chicken salad is folded with white asparagus, roasted celery, and potato mayo, then finished with crispy bacon. Smoked salmon rillettes meet cabbage dressed in miso ponzu. Hand-peeled Greenlandic shrimp pair with lovage and lobster tail.
