Pick whatever you like at BagelBoy — New York bagel culture gets an Amsterdam accent at four family-run bagel shops
Lars Tibben left New York with a bagel craving. In 2024, he brought it home to Amsterdam and opened BagelBoy. Across the city, four family-run shops now carry on the ritual: sourdough bagels, boiled and baked each morning. Crisp crust, proper chew, and generous fillings.
Plain, sesame, everything, salt, or poppy. Build your own or get acquainted with the house favorites. The OG BEC packs in bacon, egg, and cheese. The Lox layers salmon, chive cream cheese, red onion, capers, and dill. Locally made pastrami anchors the Amsterdam Classic, filled with mustard, Swiss cheese, and pickles. House-baked cinnamon rolls make a case for something sweet, and specialty coffee seals the deal.
New York sparked the appetite. BagelBoy made it a habit.
