Chun Café wasn’t ahead of the trends—it set them. In 2020, founders Melissa Cheung and Kelvin Chan had one simple goal: serve world-class tea alongside something irresistible. Soon after, their Asian-inspired stuffed toasts, vibrant Uji matchas, and Japandi-meets-Amsterdam style changed the scene entirely.
The toasts themselves define a genre. Landing somewhere between pillowy shokupan and buttery brioche, each one arrives stuffed with crave-worthy fillings. Rib-eye bulgogi with a soft-boiled egg. Five-spice garlic shrimp. Japanese omelette layered with grilled bacon, cheese, and mayo. Shoyu egg salad with Dijon and spring onions. Glazed coconut tofu.
Paired with coffee and the creamy milk teas that started it all, every bite here tastes as good as it looks.
